Everyone has a concept of who they are, who they want to be, and probably most importantly, who they are not. This is a chance for me to share a bit about myself, whilst remaining as brief as possible.
I grew up in the South West of Western Australia, in a not so small town called Albany. I Moved away from there to Fremantle, to finish my studies in the city.
Photography has always been in my life in one form or another, studying it both through school and university and then working in the industry for a number of years.
An important aspect of my life, which I feel contributes significantly to my photography, is my past involvement in performance arts, specifically those of drama, circus arts and dance. I feel this background has given me a strong intuitive eye into visual aesthetics of both a dynamic and static nature in a range of different environments and styles.
One of the key things about photography that has drawn me in is the sheer emotive power that a single photograph can have. In a culture where we are bombarded with visual stimulation from the moment we open our eyes, images still retain a huge power, whether its making someone smile or feel great sorrow the power of photographs is still very apparent.
I enjoy collaborating with people from all walks of life and aiming to reach a common goal. Most of all I enjoy taking photos. I hope you have enjoyed the small amount of work on display here.
